SOB's, or Sounds Of Brazil, is a legendary live music venue located at 204 Varick Street in the SoHo neighborhood of lower Manhattan, New York City. Established in June 1982 by Larry Gold, its original purpose was to expose the musical wealth and heritage of the Afro-Latino diaspora. Over four decades, it has evolved into a premier destination for a diverse array of genres, including Latin, R&B, Hip-Hop, Brazilian, Caribbean, and World music. Many iconic artists, from Tito Puente and Celia Cruz to Drake and Cardi B, have graced its intimate stage, making it a pivotal space for both emerging talents and industry veterans. We pray that this historic space continues to be blessed with the energy of passionate musicians and eager audiences, serving as a vital bridge between diverse cultures and a constant source of joy and artistic discovery. May its legacy endure, fostering unity and celebration through the universal power of music.
